Global History from the Asian  Perspectives and GIS 

by Dr. Tsukasa Mizushima

Dr. Tsukasa Mizushima is a specialist in the history of India. He has concentrated his research efforts on agrarian societies in South India for the past three decades. However, since the 1980s, he also has conducted his fieldwork among overseas Indians in Malaysia. 

His research interest, more recently, focuses on Global History, and Geographical Information System(GIS) to analyze social and ecological changes from 18th century onwards in Tamilnadu by combining a large number of digitized village-level sources with satellite information .
