UP Department of Geography Welcomes Freshmen, Shiftees and Transferees

On August 6, 2018, the UP Department of Geography welcomed its Freshmen, Shiftees, and Transferees through the Department Welcome Assembly entitled "Take Off!: Exploring the Geograverse" 

Dr. Yany Lopez, the new Department Chairperson gave opening remarks. Asst. Prof. Emman Garcia introduced Department Faculty Members and Staff. 

Student organizations affiliated with the Department, the Geographic Society of the University of the Philippines (GSUP) and the Junior Philippine Geographical Society - UP Diliman (JPGS-UP Diliman), gave overviews of their projects and visions. Field work teams of Midyear 2018 also presented their accomplishments to the FSTs.
