The annual Geography Graduate Orientation took place in 16 August 2019 in the 4th floor lobby of Silangang Palma. The rules and guidelines of the department to better aid the student to plan for her/his graduate studies were facilitated by Profs. Darlene Gutierrez, Ony Martinez, and Joseph Palis; Prof Joy Anacta emceed the event.
Rules on semestral course loads, availability of graduate courses, helpful tips in choosing forming a thesis panel as well as advisories on maximum residency in the program were discussed. Additionally, graduate student achievements were spotlighted to celebrate the various accomplishments.
Incoming students and current graduate students participated in the event and mingled with faculty, staff and co-students over refreshments.
