The UP Department of Geography, in cooperation with UNICEF, helped typhoon-prone communities in Camarines Norte prepare for disasters using the Participatory 3D Mapping (P3DM). The project was facilitated by the Department's Geog 192 field class from June-July 2015 under the supervision of Dr. Jake Cadag, Mr. Emmanuel Garcia and Mr. Jonathan Villasper. It has been a practice of the Department through its Summer/Midyear field classes to collaborate with NGOs and LGUs and provide service to the public.
