Good luck for the anniversary celebrations, even if it may be tainted with sadness about the devastation and huge loss of lives in Leyte and Samar after the supertyphoon. Geography and geographers are definitely needed to help prepare for catastrophic events like this. I feel proud to have become a member of this nice group of geographers, even if not permanently there.
